Commissioned

Commissioning a painting is a unique way to capture meaningful moments. Whether it is a portrait, a landscape, or a still life, a custom-made painting is unique, high-quality, and timeless.

Why choose a commissioned painting?

Commissioning a painting offers the opportunity to capture a specific moment or subject in a unique way. This ranges from a portrait of a loved one to a depiction of a beloved landscape or an atmospheric still life. Such a work of art can serve as a lasting memory.

The process of a commissioned painting

  1. Introduction: We start with a conversation to discuss your wishes and ideas. Aspects such as the desired subject, style, size, and colors will be covered.

  2. Reference material: Depending on the chosen subject, photos or sketches can serve as a reference. For portraits, for example, it is important to have clear photos that accurately capture the personality of the subject. If necessary, I can visit the location to take photos.

  3. Design and approval: Based on the collected information, an initial sketch or design is created. You will have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggest any adjustments.

  4. Execution: After your approval, the actual painting process begins. Depending on the complexity and the technique used, this can take several weeks to months.

  5. Delivery: The finished painting is presented to you. Any final details can still be adjusted to ensure that the end result fully meets your expectations.

Costs and duration

The price and time required to create a commissioned painting vary and depend on factors such as size, complexity, and the chosen technique. After the initial consultation, a clear quotation and timeline can be drawn up.
