Support the work
“All that matters is that you are making something you love, to the best of your ability, here and now.”
— Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being
Alongside my commissioned work I want to make room for paintings that come from the heart of being an artist. Free work, which I show openly: here on the site, through my newsletter and on YouTube.
A monthly contribution does not buy you a work. It makes time possible: days in the studio where the free work may grow without a deadline, without requirements set in advance, and without a destination decided beforehand. It is my conviction that the best paintings come out of that.
Whatever comes of those days, I share with everyone. You can follow how a work begins, sometimes stalls, changes and is finished — through images and accounts I publish myself. No algorithm deciding who gets to see it, no account needed. That makes it a shared project: carried by a circle of people who think this work matters, and open to anyone who wants to witness it.
Nothing is offered in return, deliberately: no print, no first refusal, no name on a list. A reward would turn a gift into an order. What you make possible is there for everyone taking part in this artistic adventure. That is exactly the point.
Payment runs through Stripe; your card details never touch this site. You can stop at any time. A gift is not a purchase and is not tax-deductible.
